Team Kentucky is committed to providing safe and efficient roads and bridges so families can get to school, work, the doctor, or wherever else they may need to go.
Three key I-65 bridges over Kentucky Street/Brook Street, Hill Street/CSX Railroad/Burnett Avenue, and Bradley Avenue are being replaced first.
All were built in the late 1950s as part of the original construction of the interstate and are at the end of their service life.
Safety is a top priority. The new bridges will provide a safe and efficient commute for the approximate 125,000 drivers who rely on them daily for decades to come.
A total of nine bridges on the I-65 corridor are being replaced or rehabilitated as part of the project. These first three bridges are most in need of repair.
